However, the words Burn Baby Burn is currently owned by the widow of former Black Panther Huey Newton, who secured copyright control over the phrase. She is marketing a BBQ sauce these days, fittingly titled Burn Baby Burn to support the Huey P. Newton Foundation. Newton helped found the Black Panthers in Oakland, California with Bobby Seale.
