Is permission needed to use quotes from famous people, even if they are no longer living?

If you’re writing a paper, you quote them.

you need to check with a copyright lawyer, or check on line, if the site still exists,,

As long as you use quote marks and attribute, it is ok.

if u put it in quotes and then put the thing like this

blah blah blah

- __________ — their name

You should always be honest and quote your sources otherwise you might get accused of being a plagiarist.

However, it’s impossible to slander or libel the dead as they can’t sue.

when you write a paper and you use a quote always say something along the line of According to …_-here is your quote’ and then cite where got the quote fromm
