There are such things as Encyclopedias of Quotes , or dictionary of Quotations, I cant really remember. It has loads of famous people followed by the quotes from them. I work in Bookshop and theyre always in stock- about £20.

Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations is one of the oldest and most well-known book of quotes around. I think there is a link to it now:
Yep. Just look carefully down the right side, I think just under ‘The King James Bible’ and you’ll see ‘Bartlett’ there. I think I spelled it right. It was put together by John Barlett, and many years ago, but it’s still used, as you see.
Benjamin Franklin was known for his quips quotes. You’d be surprised at the quips quotes he came up with that people still use today.
